Understand Getting Approvals For Actions

Involving An Identity Or Account

We have a wide variety of identities used to represent us. Beyond our primary government identity, there are numerous other types of identities that organizations assign to us, i.e. driver license numbers, cell phone numbers and email addresses. The same as primary government identities, their uniqueness is necessary globally to find and communicate with us.

These identities represent some form of relationship to organizations associated with us. The possible variations of relationship and interaction variations are infinite, but specific in many activities, especially those needing approval before continuing.

We are the only one who knows if we are really using them or if we actually approve any action assigned to or involving us. Approval of those actions is dependent on our adding them to our Sentry account profile to be asked approvals from and the Sentry application installed on one of our devices.

When seeking an action approval involving an "Alternate Identity" online here, there are three fields that need to be completed on the form: 1) Requester 2) Identity or Account 3) Use. The “Requester” field is either for our name or the name of the organization being represented. The “Identity / Account” field is for the identity of the individual to be asked for approval of an action's continuance. The "Use" field is for a description of the action to be performed.

Complete the form and select ”Send Approval Request ”. Each approval request, when sent for immediate response, is given 3 minutes to be responded to. If not responded to within that time limit, the default response will be recorded as ”No”. It will be present here as "Response not received within allocated time period".

Once the response is received, the reaction should be activity continuance, discontinuance or approval request retry.
